Electromagnetic induction is suitable for ferrous metal substrates and can be used for any non-magnetic coating on a magnetic metal base. This includes paint, electroplating, galvanising, hard chrome, sprayed metal, powder coating, plastic, epoxy, rubber etc. on substrates such as steel, cast iron, or ferritic and duplex stainless steel.
Operating temperature: 0 - 50°C (32 - 120°F).
Minimum substrate thickness:
Ferrous*: 0.3 mm (12 mils).
Non ferrous: 0.1 mm (4 mils).
(*with 2 point calibration 1 mm for ±1 % accuracy over probe range).
Measuring range : 0 - 1500 µm.
Resolution steps:
0,1 µm (0 - 200 µm).
0,05 µm (200 - 500 µm).
1,0 µm (500 - 1500 µm).
Accuracy: ±1 % or ±1 µm.
Minimum convex surface diameter: 10 mm (0.39").
Minimum concave surface radius: 25 mm (0.98").
Headroom: 85 mm (3.35").
Minimum sample diameter: 6 mm (0.24").
