Model 122 is a fast, convenient and low-priced method for measuring rough surfaces by shot or grit blowing. Testex tape consists of a coat of foam, which by means of a blunt object is pressed down on the surface and like that is deformed. The foil is measured with a foil thickness gauge (e.g. Erichsen model 497) after which, the surface roughness can be read.
